Cornwall LEP Appoints Marketing Leader to Board

The Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) has appointed Poppy Naylor as a non-executive director.

Cornwall LEP Appoints Marketing Leader to Board

Poppy is a charity fundraising and marketing consultant with almost 20 years’ experience in the voluntary sector.

She spent 15 years at Cancer Research UK and led the campaigns team, including the Stand Up to Cancer campaign.

Since 2017 Poppy has run her own consultancy business with clients including Save the Children, Macmillan Cancer Support and Unicef UK’s Soccer Aid campaign, which raised a record £7.9m last year. She is also a board trustee of First Light Southwest, a charity supporting people in Cornwall, Devon, and Wiltshire who have been affected by domestic abuse and sexual violence.

The LEP is business-led and funded by government to drive economic growth and the creation of high quality jobs in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. Its 17-strong Board is made up of people from business, education, the voluntary sector and local authorities.

Commenting on her appointment, Poppy said:

“I’m passionate about helping charity leaders, fundraisers and marketers transform their performance and I hope my diverse experience will be an asset to the LEP. It’s an exciting time to be joining the team and I look forward to championing Cornwall and Scilly.”

LEP chair Mark Duddridge added:

“We’re delighted to welcome Poppy to the LEP and I have no doubt her skills and experience will enrich our Board and its decision-making. We will shortly publish our Local Industrial Strategy which will set our future priorities. We look forward to working with business, government and partners on delivering against that agenda.”

Poppy lives in St Agnes with her husband and young son. She is a keen rower and rows in the St Agnes surfboat team.
