LEP leaders shine in Queen's New Year Honours

Business leaders from some of England’s Local Enterprise Partnerships, the organisations tasked with increasing local growth and productivity across the country, have been recognised by the Queen for their LEP achievements.

LEP leaders shine in Queen's New Year Honours

LEP business leaders were awarded the following in the 2019 New Year Honours:

Christine Gaskell MBE DL, Chair of the Cheshire and Warrington LEP and Vice Chair of the Northern Powerhouse 11 (NP11), is awarded a CBE for services to the community in Cheshire.

Edwin Booth, Chairman of the Lancashire Local Enterprise Partnership, is awarded a CBE for services to business and charity.

Juergen Maier, Greater Manchester LEP Board Member and UK CEO of Siemens PLC, is awarded a CBE for services to UK/German relations.

Professor David Green, Worcester Local Enterprise Partnership Board Member and Vice Chancellor and Chief Executive of the University of Worcester, is awarded a CBE for services to Higher Education.
